We stayed at Cove's Byron Bay property for our anniversary — three nights in the ocean view suite. The room design is beautiful, clearly inspired by the surrounding hinterland with raw timber, linen, and native botanicals. The private plunge pool was perfect. Breakfast included heritage-breed eggs from a local farm and sourdough from a baker in town — not generic hotel buffet food. The staff-to-guest ratio must be very high: every request was handled before we had to ask twice. Carbon-neutral certification was evidenced by on-site solar panels and composting. The Cove Circle loyalty programme upgrade we received as third-stay members (harbour view to ocean view) was genuinely appreciated. Not cheap, but fairly priced for the quality.

“Margaret River property — perfect for wine country exploration”

Stayed at the Cove Margaret River property for 4 nights as a wine tour base. The property is about 8 minutes from the main winery strip, which is ideal. The room was spacious, extremely well appointed, and completely private — the architecture ensures no sight lines between any villas. The curated winery itinerary the concierge prepared was genuinely helpful and included three producers we would not have found ourselves. Checkout was handled entirely via the app with no queuing. One small note: the in-room minibar pricing was steep even by hotel standards. Overall the experience was exactly what the brand promises and we are already planning to book the Noosa property for our next trip.

“Corporate retreat at Bowral — exceptional venue, flawless event coordination”

We held a 22-person executive off-site at Cove's Bowral property over two days. The events coordination team were thorough from the planning stage — detailed dietary requirements, AV setup, and breakout space requirements all accommodated without issues. The private dining dinner on night one with a guest chef using Southern Highlands produce was genuinely memorable and the team used it effectively as a bonding moment. Accommodation for all 22 attendees was on-property which made the evening optional activities easy to manage. The morning wellness session (optional yoga, guided walk) had good uptake. The business centre equipment was modern and reliable. Cost was at premium end for corporate rates but the outcomes justified it — best corporate retreat feedback scores we have had in three years.
