“Good effort, portion was small”
Flavour was solid — potato masala had a nice mustard-seed kick and the coconut chutney was fresh. My main complaint is the portion felt more like a side dish than a main, and I was still hungry after. Would order again but maybe alongside something else.
“Restaurant-quality, delivered fast”
This is the one I keep coming back to. Sauce is rich without being heavy, chicken is always cooked through evenly, and it arrived still hot despite a 25 minute delivery window. Genuinely on par with sit-down Indian restaurants I've been to, for a fraction of the wait.
“Community Services certificate completed — placement support was excellent”
I enrolled in the Certificate III in Individual Support (Community Services) as a career change from retail. SkillUp organised my work placement at an aged care facility, which I was worried about arranging myself. The placement coordinator called me weekly during the placement period to check in. The facility I was placed with ended up offering me casual work before I had even submitted my final assessments. The online content for the theory units was clear and accessible — I have no university background and found it entirely manageable. The assessors provided detailed feedback on my submitted assessments rather than just a pass/fail result, which genuinely helped me improve. Highly recommend for anyone considering a career in community services.
“Bulk-billed telehealth GP saved me 2.5 hours — genuinely no cost to me”
I needed a GP for a script renewal and the wait at my local clinic was 10 days. Found HealthHub AU, booked a bulk-billed video consultation for the next morning, and was done in 18 minutes. The GP was attentive and professional. The e-script was sent to my pharmacy within 2 minutes of the consultation ending. No out-of-pocket cost with my Medicare card — genuinely free. The app's video interface was stable throughout. I did have a minor issue where my booking confirmation email went to spam, so missed the 15-minute reminder. Worth checking spam after booking. Would absolutely use again for anything that doesn't require a physical exam — amazing for busy people.
“Byron Bay property is genuinely the best hotel stay I've had in Australia”
We stayed at Cove's Byron Bay property for our anniversary — three nights in the ocean view suite. The room design is beautiful, clearly inspired by the surrounding hinterland with raw timber, linen, and native botanicals. The private plunge pool was perfect. Breakfast included heritage-breed eggs from a local farm and sourdough from a baker in town — not generic hotel buffet food. The staff-to-guest ratio must be very high: every request was handled before we had to ask twice. Carbon-neutral certification was evidenced by on-site solar panels and composting. The Cove Circle loyalty programme upgrade we received as third-stay members (harbour view to ocean view) was genuinely appreciated. Not cheap, but fairly priced for the quality.
“Best filter coffee subscription in Melbourne — consistently exceptional”
I've been on Grounds' fortnightly filter subscription for 14 months and the quality has never dipped. Each delivery comes with detailed tasting notes and brew guides specific to that batch's roast profile, which I genuinely read and use. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe they sourced last quarter was exceptional — the most complex filter coffee I've had at home. The beans always arrive within 48 hours of roasting as they promise. The subscription portal is easy to use — I've paused twice for holidays with no hassle and swapped my roast preference once with zero friction. The Fitzroy cafe is lovely too — the V60 bar service is unhurried and the baristas are genuinely knowledgeable. One of Melbourne's best.
“Finally understand where my money goes — transformed my budgeting”
I've tried four budgeting apps over the years and deleted all of them within a month. MoneyWise AU is the first one I've kept for over a year. The automatic transaction categorisation is impressively accurate — I'd estimate 92% of my transactions are categorised correctly without me touching them. The spending trend graphs make it obvious where money is leaking. I discovered I was spending $380/month on takeaway food I had mentally budgeted at $120. The Financial Health Score gives me a single number I can actually act on. The bank connection via CDR feels much more secure than the old screen-scraping approach of competitor apps. The premium tier at $9.99/month is worth it for the cashflow forecast alone, which has helped me avoid two overdraft situations.
“Fast delivery and buyer protection made me switch from international marketplaces”
I switched most of my online shopping to OzCart about six months ago specifically to support Australian businesses. The delivery times are noticeably faster since everything ships domestically — most orders arrive in 2-3 days. The 30-day return policy is clearly enforced and I needed to use it once: the process was smooth and my refund was processed in 4 days. The price range is competitive with eBay on most categories. I will note the product catalogue is much smaller than eBay or Amazon — some niche items I want are just not on the platform yet. But for everyday household, electronics, and fashion purchases it covers everything I need.
“Bulk ordering for our aged care facility is seamless — residents love the product quality”
I manage procurement for a 60-bed aged care facility and NappyHub has been our sole incontinence supplier for 18 months. The product range covers all our residents' needs from light pads through to overnight maximum-absorbency adult diapers. Bulk pricing is competitive with institutional suppliers we have previously used, and the ordering portal is simpler to use. Delivery is reliable — we have never had a stock-out since switching. The discreet plain packaging matters for residents' dignity when deliveries arrive. The MoliCare and TENA products they stock are the brands our nursing staff prefer. Customer service responded quickly when we needed to adjust a standing order. Very happy with the service.
“Outsourced our fulfilment and IT to Sands — best operational decision we made”
We are a mid-sized aged care products distributor. We outsourced our warehousing and fulfilment to Sands Industries two years ago and then engaged their digital team to build our ordering platform. The logistics arm processes our daily orders with consistent accuracy and their reporting dashboard gives us full visibility. The custom ordering portal their digital team built has reduced our phone order volume by 70% and completely eliminated the transcription errors we were experiencing. The two divisions coordinated flawlessly on the project — same team, same standards. Our cost-per-order dropped 22% in year one. Sands Industries has become genuinely integral to how we operate.
“Great for e-waste disposal — compliant certificates included”
Our company was struggling to dispose of end-of-life IT equipment responsibly. ScrapTrade connected us with a certified e-waste recycler who provided a data destruction certificate and collection from our office. We recovered some value from the metals and got the compliance documentation we needed for our sustainability reporting. The whole process was simpler than I expected. The only improvement I'd suggest is more filtering options when selecting recyclers — it would be useful to filter by specific certifications or service area more granularly.
