Used for our company's employee health program — good uptake and outcomes
We implemented HealthHub AU's corporate health program across our 85-person team 12 months ago. The initial health assessment uptake was 71% in the first 3 months, which exceeded what our HR team expected. The aggregate (anonymised) dashboard shows our team's health trends and flags areas for wellbeing investment. The mental health access component has been particularly valued — several team members have mentioned it in culture surveys. The account management team from HealthHub AU ran a good onboarding session for employees. Cost is reasonable at the corporate tier versus individual premium plans. The main limitation is that some of our interstate (WA) employees have experienced slightly longer wait times for specialists, which may reflect availability in that market.
Mental health care plan via telehealth — accessible and well handled
After months of delaying seeking support, I used HealthHub AU for an initial mental health consultation and to set up a GP Mental Health Care Plan. The GP was compassionate, took appropriate time (40-minute consultation), and referred me to a psychologist on the platform within the session. The platform's mental health section has clear information about what to expect, which reduced some of my anxiety about the process. The psychologist I subsequently booked (6 subsidised sessions via Medicare) was excellent. The appointment reminders and secure messaging between sessions are well implemented. There are some wait times for preferred psychologists (2-3 weeks), which is not the platform's fault — it reflects national demand. Overall HealthHub AU made accessing this care significantly easier than it would have been otherwise.
Bulk-billed telehealth GP saved me 2.5 hours — genuinely no cost to me
I needed a GP for a script renewal and the wait at my local clinic was 10 days. Found HealthHub AU, booked a bulk-billed video consultation for the next morning, and was done in 18 minutes. The GP was attentive and professional. The e-script was sent to my pharmacy within 2 minutes of the consultation ending. No out-of-pocket cost with my Medicare card — genuinely free. The app's video interface was stable throughout. I did have a minor issue where my booking confirmation email went to spam, so missed the 15-minute reminder. Worth checking spam after booking. Would absolutely use again for anything that doesn't require a physical exam — amazing for busy people.
