Bondi Beach
Sydney, NSW, Australia
Bondi Beach lives up to every expectation. The surf is consistently good, the coastal walk to Coogee is world-class, and the Icebergs ocean pool is genuinely magical. Weekends get crowded but the energy is electric.
Australia's most famous beach — a crescent of golden sand framed by sandstone headlands, world-class surf, and the iconic Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. A cultural institution as much as a beach.

The Coastal Walk alone makes it worth visiting
Yes, Bondi gets crowded. Yes, parking is a nightmare. Go by train. Then spend the morning at the beach, grab a coffee on Campbell Parade, and start the coastal walk to Coogee. By Clovelly you'll have left the crowds behind. The walk takes 2–3 hours and the scenery is stunning the entire way. Ended the day at Coogee and got an Uber back — perfect.

Every cliche about Bondi is true — in the best way
I moved to Melbourne from Sydney and Bondi is the thing I miss most. The coastal walk to Coogee is an absolute classic — 6km of dramatic cliffs, little beaches, and ocean pools. The Icebergs pool is jaw-dropping. Bondi itself gets packed on weekends but even then the energy is great. Try Bills or Porch and Parlour for breakfast. Go early on summer weekdays.
