RatingHub Feature Roundup: 10 Things You Might Not Know About the Platform

RatingHub

Published by RatingHub Admin

From AI-powered review starters to city leaderboards and product DNA scoring, RatingHub has a lot more under the hood than most users realise. Here's a tour of our best features.

RatingHub launched with an ambitious feature set, and we've been building rapidly since day one. Many of our best features are hidden gems that even regular users haven't discovered. Here's a comprehensive tour.

1. The Review Wizard with AI Enhancement

Writing a good review is hard. Our four-step review wizard guides you through the process, asking the right questions for your specific category. Once you've written your review, you can optionally use our AI enhancement feature — powered by Google Gemini — to improve clarity, grammar, and structure while keeping your original voice and perspective intact. Your original words are always preserved; the AI only suggests improvements.

2. Chat-Mode Review Entry

If you'd rather talk than type, our conversational review entry mode lets you answer questions in a natural back-and-forth format. Our AI asks follow-up questions based on your responses, then automatically structures your answers into a complete review. This is especially popular on mobile devices.

3. City and Category Leaderboards

The RatingHub leaderboard shows the top-rated businesses across Australia, but did you know you can filter by city? Visit theratinghub.com/leaderboard to see top-rated businesses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra. Each city page includes overall rankings and category-specific breakdowns.

4. The Compare Tool

Can't decide between two businesses? Use our side-by-side comparison tool at theratinghub.com/compare. Enter two company names and see their DNA Scores displayed axis by axis on a radar chart. This is particularly useful for software platforms, financial services, and hospitality businesses where multiple options might look similar at first glance.

5. "Best In" and "Alternatives" Pages

If you're looking for the best option in a specific category, visit theratinghub.com/best/[category] for ranked lists of top performers. If you're already using a product and want to explore alternatives, our alternatives pages (theratinghub.com/alternatives/[company-slug]) show you how similar businesses compare on DNA dimensions.

6. Review Clubs and Curated Lists

Create your own curated lists of businesses — "Best Coffee in Melbourne," "Top Accounting Software for Freelancers," "My Favourite Local Tradies" — and share them publicly. Lists are discoverable on user profiles and can be followed by other members.

7. Trending Topics and Review Insights

The RatingHub homepage features a trending topics section that shows which themes are most discussed across recent reviews — extracted from pros, cons, and review tags. This gives you a real-time pulse on what Australian consumers are talking about in each category.

8. Reviewer Leaderboard

It's not just businesses that get rated. Visit theratinghub.com/leaderboard/reviewers to see the most impactful reviewers on the platform, ranked by their composite contribution score (helpful votes received, review quality, trust score). The top reviewers earn special recognition and additional platform features.

9. Business Response Analytics

For business owners, our Response Analytics dashboard goes beyond just showing you review scores. It tracks your response rate over time, your average response speed, your response sentiment (how your tone compares to industry benchmarks), and an AI-powered weekly digest that highlights patterns in your customer feedback.

10. The Embed Widget

Businesses with at least 5 reviews can embed a RatingHub score widget on their own website. The widget auto-updates as new reviews come in and links directly to your RatingHub profile. For consumers, seeing the RatingHub widget on a business's own website is a strong trust signal — it shows the business is confident enough in their reviews to display them publicly.
